Dear Valued Community Members, The Morse Cultural and Heritage Association, now in its 34th year, operates on our local designated municipal heritage property, a 1912 six room brick schoolhouse, filled with collections of more than 14,000 local artifacts, archival materials and local stories. We love to share our local history through our website, Facebook, Instagram, telephone and email inquiries, educational school tours and visitor tours. But we couldn’t do this without all of you. Morse Museum was originally a school house built in 1912. It started out as a four room building, but later, in 1928 two more rooms were added. After the new school was built on and the old building was no longer needed, a group of locals got together and a board was made. This former school building was designated Municipal Heritage Property in 1981. Thus began what is now known as the Morse Museum and Cultural Centre. Categories |
