The temporary exhibit for the month of July 2023 is "Summer Sports" featuring items from the museum collection that relate to local sports. Some of the items on exhibit include a late 20's, early 30's baseball uniform (belonged to Harvey Johnson- a local resident), early ball glove, early set of golf clubs, and an early pair of boxing gloves. In addition featured are sports awards from when the museum was a functioning school and some early sports photos (1924 Log Valley Football team, and late 40's and 50's ball teams).

Morse Museum was originally a school house built in 1912. It started out as a four room building, but later, in 1928 two more rooms were added. After the new school was built on and the old building was no longer needed, a group of locals got together and a board was made. This former school building was designated Municipal Heritage Property in 1981. Thus began what is now known as the Morse Museum and Cultural Centre. Categories |
